10 Practical Points for Inspirational Leadership for Godly Leaders

• Dear Leader, in a world of many voices of selfish discouragement, be the voice of selfless encouragement to push people to be their best selves! Let love lead.

• Dear Leader, don't highlight people's weaknesses so much that you don't even see their strengths and innate potentials anymore! Know your strengths and weaknesses, play to your strength and encourage those you lead to do the same.

• Dear Leader, when people share ideas with you, be the affirmative voice that says "Go ahead! You can do it! You're going places!" Not the degrading/insecure voice that says "You're too weak to do it. It's not for everyone!"

• Dear Leader, check your heart/motives. Do you really want people around you to progress, even if it's more than you? Or are you limiting them so that you feel more in control? Give people free reins to ideate, implement and thrive!

• Dear Leader, ask yourself: Are you aligning with God's will for people's lives or do you have your own will for their lives? Remember, everyone (including you) is under God's control! So, overcome that feeling of insecurity, low self-esteem and fear of not being in control of people. Let those you currently lead maximise time, opportunities and grow!

• Dear Leader, see people the way God sees them, not the way the world sees them! God is in the business of making something out of what's naturally considered nothing! So, increase in your capacity to see hidden potentials, not only in words but in actions.

• Dear Leader, the Christian Bible Scriptures rightly teach that the students will be greater than their teachers. So, align with this mindset and hope that those you have had the opportunity to impart do better than you and other people they've been imparted by.

• Dear Leader, don't be quick to rule out anything you don't understand yet. Have an open innovative mind not a rigid limiting mindset. Understand that God sometimes works in ways we might not be able to comprehend. So, watch the results unfold before coming to conclusions.

• Dear leader, remember that everyone's life journey is unique! So, only compete with yourself. It's unhealthy to compete with other people (including those you currently lead). Instead, find joy in the knowledge that you are a part of their growth journey, wherever it leads them!

• Finally, dear leader, stay humble! Value people but don't get too attached to the extent that you try to limit their progress, instead of pushing them to be their best selves! Life runs in cycles. Those seemingly beneath you today might be greater than you tomorrow. So, don't devalue anyone! Honour everyone, even those you currently lead!
